We are going to be focusing on an attitude of gratitude! My friends, what we THINK ABOUT we BRING ABOUT. Are you guarding your precious headspace, or are you letting “any old thought” run in there?
Often we focus on our actions and why we are doing them. Really, we should be focusing on why these actions occur in the first place. Our actions are a result of our emotions, which are a result of our mindset! Take a seat and go on a little adventure with me. We are going to reverse engineer the process for adopting an attitude of gratitude and why that’s important.
First things first, we need to work on changing our mindset! There are many different ways to do this and we will explore this in the next blog post of this series: Attitude of Gratitude. However, many of you may be wondering what you can do now … right now … this moment, and I’d like to help you with that. Would you like something FREE that you can do at any time regardless of location, company or time of day? Here you have it: AFFIRMATIONS. Positive affirmations are a great way to shift your mindset.
Once we have shifted our mindset, then our emotional experience is different. We process things differently which causes us to RECEIVE and INTERPRET experiences in a different way. When our emotions are better managed our actions will reflect that.
When we have a positive shift in mindset, our emotions are better as well. When we have improved emotions, our actions are improved also. This is not only the case for us as adults but also for our children. If they see us shouting VULGARITIES instead of asking for helping or taking deep breaths, then they will begin to adopt that as their reality as well. We must keep in mind that our actions don’t only affect us, but also those around us.
I encourage you to subscribe to my blog if you want to be notified of new blog posts. This will be a 5 part series which includes:
1. Intro post (the one you’re reading now :))
